Incoloy 825, also known as Alloy 825 or Aly825, is a versatile engineering alloy. Comprising nickel, iron, chromium, with additions of molybdenum, copper, and titanium, this alloy exhibits exceptional resistance to corrosion in both oxidizing and reducing environments. It effectively resists stress corrosion cracking due to its nickel-rich composition. Incoloy 825 demonstrates excellent corrosion resistance in various corrosive media, including sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, organic acids, and alkali metals such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, and hydrochloric acid solutions. Notably, it can withstand the corrosive challenges of nuclear combustion dissolvers, handling substances like sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and sodium hydroxide within the same equipment.

Pitting and Crevice Corrosion: It effectively resists pitting and crevice corrosion.
High-Temperature Resistance: This alloy maintains excellent mechanical properties at both room temperature and elevated temperatures, even up to 550°C.
Certified for Pressure Vessels: It holds certification for use in pressure vessels operating at temperatures up to 450°C.
Incoloy 825's exceptional corrosion resistance extends to a wide range of environments. It remains resilient in the presence of concentrated acids, such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and phosphoric acid, as well as various organic acids. The alloy can withstand exposure to alkali metals, including sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide, as well as hydrochloric acid solutions. It is even resistant to boiling sulfuric acid at a 40% concentration and sulfuric acid corrosion at 60% concentration, provided the temperature does not exceed 80°C or 66°C, respectively. Additionally, Incoloy 825 offers remarkable resistance to solutions containing chloride, preventing pitting corrosion and stress corrosion, especially in seawater. It also demonstrates resistance to intergranular corrosion.
