Hastelloy is a family of highly corrosion-resistant nickel-based alloys designed to handle extremely corrosive and high-temperature environments. Designed by Haynes International Inc., these alloys include Hastelloy C-276, known for its excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of media, and Hastelloy C-22, which performs better in oxidizing acid and chloride environments. Other variants such as B-2, X, and G-30 offer specific advantages under different corrosion conditions. Hastelloy alloys are widely used in the chemical, petroleum, aerospace, and nuclear industries to manufacture equipment such as reactors, heat exchangers, pipes, and valves for excellent performance in harsh environments.
