The chemical compositions of Incoloy 800, 800H, and 800HT alloys exhibit remarkable similarity, endowing them with robust resistance to reduction, oxidation, nitriding media corrosion, and alternating redox media corrosion. They also demonstrate exceptional metallurgical stability in high-temperature, long-term applications. However, their distinct levels of aluminum (Al) and titanium (Ti) content result in different application environments.
Incoloy 800, also referred to as Alloy 800 or N08800 high-temperature-resistant stainless steel, showcases its versatile performance across a wide temperature range, from subzero conditions to room temperature and up to 600°C. This adaptability stems from its low Al and Ti content, which doesn't exceed 0.7%. Incoloy 800H boasts robust tensile strength above 600°C and retains good toughness when subjected to prolonged service at temperatures below 700°C. On the other hand, Incoloy 800HT excels with superior yield strength at temperatures surpassing 700°C.

Incoloy 800 can withstand a wide array of corrosive media. Its elevated nickel content endows it with excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in aqueous corrosive conditions, while the high chromium content enhances resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion cracking. The alloy demonstrates good corrosion resistance to nitric acid and organic acids but has limited resistance to sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. It excels in resisting corrosion in oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts, except for the potential of pitting in halides. Moreover, it displays strong corrosion resistance in water, steam, and mixtures of steam, air, and carbon dioxide.
